Implant- An Excellent Solution for Teeth Loss

Implant is referred to embed, insert or replacement. It is the term that is most oftenly used by dentists. Implants are usually placed in the jawbone at front of the mouth, as it is known that there are more bones in front than in back. That is why people experience loosing of teeth as loosing of bones in that particular area. There are various factors which are considered to complete the implant in a particular time frame. This includes surgeries and the placement of the denture. Usually, two kinds of surgeries are needed to make implant perfect. The first surgery installs the implants inside the jawbone under gums, where as the second surgery pops the tops of the implants. Implant-abutment interface becomes a very important criterion for success of implant. A healing cap which is also called as collar can be placed on the top of each implant after it has been exposed. This instructs the gum tissue to heal properly.

The only requirement of implant with switched-platform should be placed crestally, if sufficient soft tissue height and inter-occlusal space are present or it could be sub-crestally if insufficient soft tissue height and inter-occlusal space are present. Immediate insertion of the implant in compromised bone after extracting natural tooth can help store denser bone and prevent bone atrophy, that result in lesser loading of the marginal bone. There are mainly two kinds of implant-supported dentures (i.e, Bar-retained dentures and other one is Ball-retained dentures). Bar-retained dentures are those where a thin metal bar follows the curve of the jaw which is attached to two to five implants that is inserted in to the jawbone. Clips of other type of supplement fits properly to the bar, denture or both. The second denture that is Bar-retained denture is such that where each implant contained in jawbone holds a metal attachment which fits into another attachment on the denture. It is named as Bar-retained denture, since in most cases, the attachments on the implants are ball-shaped and they fit into sockets on the denture. In addition, to basic implant surgical principle, there are various indications and procedures for regeneration of guided bone in apical fenestration and crestal dehiscence defects, and simultaneous sinus floor elevation via the lateral window and osteotome techniques. Thus, functional consequence of teeth loss requires clinicians to fabricate restorations. Implants provide excellent solution for teeth loss teeth and treatment challenges.
